About

Hi, I'm Jenny

Welcome to Jenny's Dog Service! I live right here in Middleton, MA, and chances are I've probably seen you and your pup around the neighborhood.

I started this business because I know what it's like to worry about your dog while you're at work or away. That's why I'm insured, bonded, and certified in Pet CPR & First Aid — I take your trust seriously. But more than that, I'm just a huge dog person who believes every walk should end with a tired, happy pup and a calmer day for you.

I'll learn your dog's quirks, favorite routes, and whether they're a 'sniff every mailbox' type or a 'let's run' type. No cookie-cutter walks here.

Jenny's Dog Service is a small team — myself and two trained team members. We're all insured, background-checked, and trained in the same safety and care protocols. Certifications and proof of insurance are available to view at our complimentary meet & greet.

Safety first

Weather policy

Your dog's safety is our top priority. When conditions are unsafe — extreme heat, severe cold, thunderstorms, heavy rain, ice, or poor air quality — we may shorten walks, substitute a potty break with indoor playtime, or reschedule. We always communicate any changes with you.

We always communicate any changes with you.

Hot weather
Dogs can overheat quickly, especially breeds with thick coats, short noses, or underlying health conditions. We use extra caution when temperatures are above 80°F, humidity is high, or pavement is too hot to touch comfortably for 7 seconds. Walks may be shortened or modified when temperatures reach 85°F or higher, or the heat index exceeds 90°F. During hot weather, we focus on shaded routes, slower-paced walks, and frequent water breaks.
Cold weather
Some dogs tolerate cold temperatures well, others are more sensitive. We monitor for temperatures below 20°F, wind chills below 10°F, and ice or hazardous footing. Walks may be shortened for small breeds, short-haired dogs, puppies, and senior dogs.
Thunderstorms and lightning
For safety reasons, we do not walk dogs during active thunderstorms, lightning, or severe weather warnings. Instead, we provide a potty break as conditions allow and offer indoor play and companionship.
Heavy rain
Light rain is usually fine, but walks may be shortened or modified during heavy downpours, flooding conditions, or reduced visibility.
Snow and ice
Snow can be enjoyable for many dogs, but walks may be shortened if sidewalks are icy, salt or chemicals are heavily applied, or snow accumulation makes walking difficult.
Poor air quality
On days with wildfire smoke or unhealthy air quality, outdoor time may be limited — especially for senior dogs and dogs with respiratory issues.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Anything we missed? Mention it on the meet & greet form below — we'll cover it when we meet.

What if the weather is bad?
Your dog's safety is our top priority. When conditions are unsafe — extreme heat, severe cold, thunderstorms, ice, or poor air quality — we may shorten walks, substitute a potty break with indoor playtime, or reschedule. We always communicate any changes with you.
What's your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellation or schedule change. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full cost of the service. Exceptions may be made for true emergencies.
Do you offer discounts for regular customers?
Yes — our weekly package (Monday–Friday) and flexible monthly packages offer meaningful savings for clients who use us regularly. See the pricing section above.
Can you give my pet medication during a visit?
Yes. Medication administration is included as part of our drop-in visits, overnight sitting, and cat care. Just let us know during the meet & greet what your pet needs.
How do I book an overnight stay?
Overnight stays are booked by phone so we can confirm dates and discuss your pet's routine. Reach out and we'll set it up.
What are your walk times?
We offer four flexible arrival windows for walks Monday through Friday: 8:00–10:00 AM, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM, 12:00–2:00 PM, and 2:00–4:00 PM. You pick a window when you book, and your dog gets walked sometime during that window — that way we can give every client reliable service while tailoring each visit to your dog.
Will it only be you walking my dog?
Jenny's Dog Service is a small, dedicated team — myself and two trained team members. We work closely together to ensure consistent, high-quality care for every dog. Your dog may be walked by me or one of our trusted team members; all are insured, background-checked, and trained in our safety and care protocols. We'll introduce you to anyone who will be working with your dog ahead of time, and you'll always receive walk updates and photos so you know exactly who spent time with your pup that day.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes. Jenny's Dog Service is fully insured and bonded for your peace of mind. All team members are covered under our policy, background-checked, and trained in our safety and care protocols. Proof of insurance and our CPR & First Aid certification are available to view at the meet & greet.
How do I pay?
We accept Venmo, Zelle, and cash. Single walks are due upon completion; walk packages are paid in full before the first day of the package. We send weekly invoices for ongoing single walks, and we can set up recurring billing through Venmo or Zelle if you prefer.
Do you offer group walks with other clients' dogs?
No. We only do solo walks so each dog gets our full attention. If you have multiple dogs in the same household, we're happy to walk them together — multi-dog household rates available, just ask.
What happens if you're sick or on vacation?
One of our trained team members will cover your dog's scheduled walks so there's no disruption in care. All team members are insured, background-checked, and follow the same protocols. We'll notify you of any schedule changes in advance and introduce you to the team member caring for your pup.
